Yvette M. Poindexter, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Yvette M. Poindexter, M.D. has been board certified as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist since 1999 and has worked as Chief Medical Officer for Stephen F. Austin Community Health Center since April 2010.
She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1993 and Baylor College of Medicine Residency in 1997. Dr. Poindexter is accustomed to a variety of medical environments including; but not limited to, community health centers, outpatient and inpatient care, Third World clinics and private practice.
Dr. Poindexter had her own private practice from 2001 to 2008. She is also experienced as a research sub-investigator for well known medications used in treatment of diabetes, cholesterol and hypertension.
